Basically these two treatments are equal which using presire to parts of the body treated. The difference is the Acupuncture is using needles as tools that are able to penetrate up under the skin while the Acupressure is using fingers to press the body part treated.

1.Medical acupuncture is using needles to penetrate the skin at the location of real anatomical structures instead of points determined by tradition. The patient may fell the pain when the needles is exactly hit the real anatomical. This pain indicates the needle is on the desired body part and usually the pain will gradually fade.
2.Sonopuncture or acutonics is a stimulation of the body similar to acupuncture, but using sound to penetrate the skin and anatomical area instead of needles. This may be done using purpose-built transducers to direct a narrow ultrasound beam to a depth of 6–8 centimeters at acupuncture meridian points on the body. Alternatively, tuning forks or other sound emitting devices are used.
3.Acupressure is the application of pressure such as with no penetrating needles to acupuncture points. Acupressure sometimes using a small wood stick or even a hand massage toward the patient by pressing to the acupuncture points.
4.Acupuncture point injection is the injection of various substances (such as drugs, vitamins or herbal extracts) into acupuncture point. Sometimes the herbal extract is customized based on the diseases.
5.Cosmetic acupuncture is the use of acupuncture in an attempt to reduce wrinkles on the face. The needles will penetrate to the acupuncture points which will stop the wrinkles process. It's only taking several minutes, and it's really relaxing.
